Ingredients  :  1 cup dried lima beans 10 cups water ½ cup soft bread crumbs 1/3 cup minced onion ½ teaspoon salt ¼ cup minced celery 1 teaspoon minced garlic 2 ½ tablespoon minced chive and thyme 1/8 teaspoon black pepper ½ cup dry breadcrumbs 1 teaspoon soft margarine 1 teaspoon vegetable oil or spray

Steps :

Step 1
Soak beans overnight. Drain and cook in water till tender. Save liquid.

Step 2
Mash beans in a food processor or with a potato masher.

Step 3
Add soft breadcrumbs, onion, salt, celery, garlic, chive, thyme and black pepper. Use a little of the liquid if necessary.

Step 4
Using ¼ cup mixture each, shape into flat cakes.

Step 5
Coat with dry breadcrumbs. Dot with margarine.

Step 6
Grease baking sheet with oil or spray.

Step 7
Bake at 350F /180C for 20-25 minutes or until done.
