B. Paul White, MD, MSEE is a General and Minimally Invasive Surgeon and the Surgical Hospitalist at the Northern Westchester Hospital in Mount Kisco, NY. He was previously the Director of Minimally Invasive Surgery at the Jack D. Weiler Hospital of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He completed his residency in surgery at Beth Israel Medical Center in NYC and a fellowship in Surgical Critical Care at Westchester County Medical Center in Valhalla. In addition, he has a Masters in Electrical and Biomedical Engineering from Rutgers University with a strong background in Computer Engineering. He has been involved in several EHR implementations at major New York health care facilities. He has been honored with the National Spirit of Planetree Patient Centered Care Physician Champion Award at the Planetree International Conference on Patient Centered Care. Dr. White’s major surgical interests include advanced laparoscopic and laparoscopic endocrine and biliary surgery as well as the full range of general surgery. He has long been interested and involved in Surgical Quality Improvement and Patient Safety as well as Medical Ethics consultation and education and end-of-life issues. He has been a member of ethics committees for over 25 years. He was the director of the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at Beth Israel Medical Center from 1992 to 1996. Dr. White has been a Police Surgeon for the New York City Police department since 1995.
