Breast cancer is the most frequent cancer among women, impacting 2.1 million women each year, and also causes the greatest number of cancer-related deaths among women. Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Trinidad and Tobago, accounting for 21.6% of all new cases at the National Radiotherapy Centre in St James in 2018 (NWRHA Cancer Registry Annual Report).
