About Breast Cancer
Prepared by: Anastacia Ramroop
According to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, sometimes the process of cell growth goes wrong. The old or damaged cells do not die as they should while unwanted new cells develop. When this occurs a buildup of cells form into a mass of tissue called a lump, growth or tumor.
Early detection and screening are important. This can decrease the chances of breast cancer related deaths and would aid in effective preventative management of a person diagnosed with breast cancer.
