PONCHE A CRÈME

Serves 14, Serving size—1/2 cup

Ingredients  :  6 egg whites Green lime peel 2 tablespoon custard powder 4 cups skimmed milk 1/4 teaspoon grated nutmeg 1 tablespoon bitters 1 tablespoon vanilla essence

Steps :

Step 1
Beat egg white with lime peel until light and fluffy.

Step 2
Add custard powder to skimmed milk and mix well. (No condense milk). Add nutmeg.

Step 3
Cook in double boiler until mixture begins to thicken.

Step 4
Remove from heat. Cool. Add artificial sweetener to taste, bitters, essence and rum.

Step 5
Cool and leave overnight.

Step 6
Strain and bottle.
